Celebrating Mr. Weka

On this special day, we wanted to show our appreciation for the colleague that we all lovingly refer to as Mr. Weka, our very own Leen Leentfaar!

Leen has been with Weka Marine for almost all of his working life, having been part of all Weka companies that have existed over the last decades. Starting out as a summer job at the small repair yard that was Weka, and climbing up to becoming our beating heart and brain.
Leen’s heart has always been with Weka and he is one of the reasons we have become what we are today. The inventor of the Weka box cooler, designer of our production facilities and our brain on all things related to box coolers and their issues.

Just because Leen is our oldest, or better “most experienced ;)” colleague, don’t think for one second that his role is diminishing! He is currently getting up to steam progressing our Research and Development even further.

We’re lucky we can always count on Leen, when our welders are unavailable, he’s stepping in. When we have a question, he always knows the answer.
Also a beautiful thing about Leen is that he is always there for everyone, ready to help for any reason.

Leen, thank you for all your dedication, and here’s to several more years together!
